A Cleveland Grocery Tradition, Generations in the Making

Long before Lake Road Market became Rocky River's neighborhood grocery store, the Rego family was building a name in Cleveland's grocery business.

The family's roots in the industry stretch back generations, beginning with a single neighborhood grocery and growing into Rego Brothers and Rego's Stop-N-Shop, a familiar name to generations of Cleveland shoppers.

By the 1950s, Rego Brothers was operating on Cleveland's West Side. Over the decades that followed, the family business grew alongside the communities it served, eventually becoming part of one of Northeast Ohio's largest locally grown supermarket organizations.

Through every chapter, the foundation remained the same: quality food, personal service and the belief that a grocery store should feel like part of its neighborhood.

That tradition found a home in Rocky River when Rego Brothers opened Lake Road Market at 20267 Lake Road.

Today, Lake Road Market carries that legacy forward as an independent, family-owned neighborhood grocer, combining the selection and quality customers expect from a full-service market with the familiar faces, personal attention and local products that make shopping small different.

From fresh produce and our deli to prepared foods, catering, specialty products and locally made favorites, we've continued to evolve with the families we serve without losing sight of where we came from.

More than a grocery store, Lake Road Market is another chapter in a family tradition that has been part of Northeast Ohio for generations.

Local Then. Local Now.

The Chicken Salad Hasn’t Changed

It is a family recipe, sixty years old, made here in the same proportions it always was. Longtime customers order it by the pound without looking at the case. It's the clearest example of what this market is: a small thing done exactly the same way for a very long time.

“The finest reflection of your good taste.”
